August is over + Trading video

Trading banks Betfair £343.35 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L 13.05 August P&L -£36.65

I'm glad August is over... It could have been worse, I've pulled back a lot of the earlier loss and am more confident again (I think).

Here's an mp4 video of todays P&L (60Mb)

It's 20 mins (80 mins speeded up x4) and has some music

No trading Saturday and Sunday and I went back on the horses today. I think having a race every 5 mins helps and it was a bit more predictable after a week of dogs.

Only did 15 races today as I'm knackered and I was falling asleep at the keyboard.

I have taken all the money out of my Betdaq account (given up on that) and I've taken my Betfair bank down to £200.

September Trading bank £200.00

Given how badly I started August I need to take a step back and use £20 stakes for the start of September and what I will do is increase the stakes by £5 every time I get another £50 in the bank, or drop it by £5 if the bank goes down by £50.

My mouse button broke today (sometimes double clicks when you click it once, which is not good when trading), so I am having to use a spare wireless one, but luckily I'm on a laptop, so any problem at least I have the touch pad to use to close down any open trades...

Weekend

Trading banks Betfair £330.30 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L 4.95 August P&L -£49.70

Very straight forwards today, watched Being Human episode 3 on iplayer on one screen while I traded the dogs on the other which seemed to work ok, then put some music on when that finished for the later races, but I did miss a few due to not paying attention.

Only traded 7 races, of those 4 were scratched for a total of +7p (which is better than a red) and the other 3 made £4.88 between them.

Off out now because the weekend has started and I have £4.95 to spend!!!

Hasta Mañana

A bit more green

Trading banks Betfair £325.35 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L 4.76 August P&L -£54.65

Good trading today apart from the second race. I don't know what I thought I was doing, but as soon as I placed the trade I knew it was stupid, tried to scratch but got hit by a move so took a £4 loss, but hey such is life, and just for laughs it did then come back again...

At least I knew the entry was wrong this time, so next time I'm in that situation hopefully I won't place it at all!!!

Rest of the trades were spot on. Some worked, some didn't (but because of my entry strategy of only going for good entry prices today [apart from the 2nd race] even those still made a few pence rather than losing)

I missed a couple of moves, but at the end of the day there's no point getting on a move if the down side is getting on 10 races with small losses that cancel it out as well.

Made as much in 1 hour 30 mins today as I did in 10 hours yesterday... Although the first 2 hours yesterday were good as well, it was the next 8 that weren't productive.

Took a break today to miss the 1:30pm market changes where I seem to lose money. Was going to do some more when I got back from a short bike ride, but it turned into a really really long bike ride of 4 hours, so I'm completely wasted and I didn't do anything else when I got back.

Must lose the big reds

Trading banks Betfair £320.59 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L 5.57 August P&L -£59.41

Recently I seem to trade the first two hours quite well and then it goes a bit Pete Tong, but it's not just my trading, for the last three days the markets have definitely changed at about 1:30pm (UK time).

Today was overall pretty good (but way too long), I think learned a lot even if my profits are not that amazing. Progress feels a bit like swimming through shark infested custard at times.

Would have been nice to not get caught on the big losses, it's funny how I still don't seem to get on many big wins, but the losses are always quite easy to find. You can guarantee if I look away from the screen for 10 secs it'll be 20 ticks into the red when I look back.

Also it's amazing how easily I can go 5 ticks in the red and then if I leave it open it goes 15 ticks red, but if I close out for a loss it then comes back in to what would have been a nice profit... You definitely need a sense of humour for this trading lark.

Main thing is that I feel more confident this week

Yarmouth 7:06 race suspended 2 mins early, no idea what that is about, luckily I wasn't caught but is slightly worrying.

More Green Greyhounds

Trading banks Betfair £315.02 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L 14.76 August P&L -£64.98

Better hourly rate today...

Still less than minimum wage though...

Had a nice (and very easy) £10 bonus from Paddy Power as well, that's not in the P&L.

Made one stupid loss when the first two meetings finished and the first race at the next track was behaving differently, and before I realised I was £4 into the red, doh!

Apart from that nothing bad happened, which makes for a boring blog entry but is probably the way it should be in order to make consistent profits.

I did get on a rollercoaster down and up again and down again in one race for £10.26 which is my biggest single race profit so far from the dogs. Not bad from £20 stakes...

Everything else was slow and steady (probably too steady as I am seeing more opportunities than I'm trading at the moment) so once I get more confident I'll be doing more.

Knocked off slightly earlier today, as I want to try and slot my trading between 11am and 6pm. It's not so important at the moment, although evenings are not meant for working! When I have coaching work again in October that's the hours I'll have free to trade most days.

Didn't bother switching to horses at 3pm. Apparently wasn't much horse racing today anyway.

Paddy Power Bonus

After I finished trading for the day I got an email from Paddy Power with a games offer, bet £1 to get a free £10 bet...

Deposited £10
Placed £1 on roulette (it won)
Then placed £5 red, £5 black and £1 0
Withdraw £20 (£10 profit)

If the qualifying bet hadn't won it would have only been an £8 profit, but it's all free so £8/£10 who cares, is worth doing if you get the offer, as it's literally 2 mins work (play)...

Easy Money

Trading banks Betfair £300.26 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L 4.93 August P&L -£79.74

Made about 50p an hour today...

Stupid thing is I was about £12 up in the first two hours...

On the plus side I know what changed in the markets and why I got burnt so I can watch out for it in future.

The first 12 races were very straight forwards, and I was making good steady progress, and because of this I got over confident. But then things changed and I blew all my profit and more in the next 6 before I realised what was happening. Answering a phone call didn't help.

Took the rest of the afternoon to pull it back into profit. But unlike some previous times when I've made losses, I was confident that I would get back in profit and I just steadily built back up, no desire to pull back the losses quickly, didn't rush in to trades, and if anything I held back on a couple that I could have done.

Stayed on the dogs today and will probably do so for the rest of the month.

I tried Betdaq on horses a few days ago (forgot to blog it) but couldn't see any entry points and I didn't open any trades, I might try the dogs on Betdaq later and see if that works any better, but there's not much liquidity even on Betfair so I'm not over confident it'll work well...

Here's the P&L (would have made more by stopping at 4pm)

Gone to the Dogs

Trading banks Betfair £295.33 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L 41.13 August P&L -£84.67

Decided to give the dogs a go today.

Only using £10 stakes, was quite interesting and mildly profitable. Got bored with the evening races, just far too long in between, and there's only about 20 secs of trading time per race.

Also watched Adam Todd's BT Evolution video this afternoon and apart from it being a cool looking application, from what he was saying whilst trading I figured out one of the reasons why I have been making too many losses recently. Sometimes things are just so obvious that you can't see them and it needs someone to shout it at you before you realise... Anyway looking forwards to testing my theory on Monday to see if I can stay in profit...

Bet Trader Evolution Video

Dogs were ok, but must confess that my biggest profit of the day was pure accident, I should have only made about £5... I was trading away (well waiting for the 20 second slot where I could trade away) and noticed my BF balance was about £35 higher than I thought it should be, so went to bet history and found that I'd somehow left a back bet open a few races back... doh!

I'm not at all sure how that happened, I thought I'd closed every trade. But on the plus side at least it won. That's the first time I've ever backed a dog as well so 100% record Maybe I can start a tipping service...

Saturday

Trading banks Betfair £254.20 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L 16.52 August P&L -£125.80

Late start, a few losses, a swing trade for some profit, another loss, ended about £16 up.

Not bad I s'pose but still not really sure what I'm doing half the time.

Need to get my entry points nailed so I can start making some proper profits. Have plenty of video edited and ready to review now, so no excuses, just need to get on and do it.

Sunshine and more videos

Was really really really really really hot today!

Did a few more videos while I was sunbathing. It's a hard life...

RacingUK won't work with the proxy server anymore, not sure why but I guess they blocked it somehow. Good news is that it does still work with VPN, so I guess I'll be subscribing to that when the free trial runs out.

VPN also works with ALL the uk tv channels as well which means I can watch BBC/ITV and don't have to watch the incredibly annoying CNN for the news anymore!

Next week I'll have the appartment to myself, so will be trading again starting on Monday.

Proxy Server Setup

I spent the afternoon working out how to connect to RacingUK through a proxy server without having to use the proxy server for anything else...

The easy way to use a proxy server is to just set the ip address of the proxy server in the browser connection settings, but you have the problem that everything, including email and BetAngel, Bet Trader etc., also use the proxy...

The way to get around this is not obvious, but fortunately it's very simple, once you know how.

You just need to set up a .pac file and then you can configure which hosts/domains/urls you want to use the proxy and everything else will not use it.

Create a .pac file:

I have RacingUK with my RacingPost membership, and the 2mdn.net domain is used when racinguk verify's that you have a uk ip address,
so this needs to be included (I figured this out with a useful little free program called URLSnooper2).

Once you have saved the .pac file set the following in your browser LAN connection settings (note that IE requires forward /'s not backwards \'s or it won't work)

Hope that is useful.

Update: RUK doesn't seem to be working on the proxy at the moment, so maybe they have blocked the proxy, but hopefully it's just temporary, and iPlayer still works.

I currently have a free trial on the proxy and VPN connections, and the VPN still works fine for everything, so maybe will be better than a proxy.

Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments if you are not sure about anything.

If you need to find a different url, temporarily set your proxy in the browser settings so that everything goes through it, start URLSnooper2, go to the media (e.g. RacingUK, BBC iPlayer) and you will see the url's that it uses listed in URLSnooper2. These can then be put in the .pac file.

Didn't get time to trade after all that, but I was able to video some races for analysis while figuring out the proxy, and I didn't lose any money today!!!

What am I doing?

Trading banks Betfair £237.68 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L -£15.92 August P&L -£142.32

Ooooh, I'm soooo happy... I only lost £16 today...

And on top of that the new bottom bracket I got for my bike was the wrong size...

Luckily I found the right one in a local shop so at least I can ride it tomorrow.

I'm thinking that I should take the rest of August off trading and just make/watch videos cos I'm just wasting too much money at the moment. I don't know what happened since last month when I was green every day?

If you want a useful service that doesn't cost £55 a month (it is free at the moment) then check out greenupradio http://www.greenupradio.com/, they give you a warning 15 (ish) seconds before a race goes in play. I trialed it a few weeks ago and it was really useful.

One of those days

Trading banks Betfair £253.60 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L -£51.54 August P&L -£126.40

What a complete load of

I seem to be going backwards at the moment, and I'm going backwards faster every day...

I'll be glad when August is over!

It just went from bad to worse today, I guess the only good thing I can take out of it is that I didn't go in play for whatever that is worth.

I didn't really have a clue why I was starting trades, I don't even know what day it is, I should have just stayed in bed.

At one point I blinked and all 3 ladders went shooting off into the red at the same time faster than Usain Bolt for a £34 loss... wtf are the chances of that!?

Another time I got the swing direction and range spot on and still managed to lose £3 on it... How is that even possible? My incompetence was legendary today.

I guess I can look forwards to tomorrow being better!

I hope you had a better day than me!

Why do I bother?

If you want to make any money today all you have to do is the opposite to me...

Lazy Afternoon

Trading banks Betfair £305.14 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L £2.92 August P&L -£74.86

Couldn't get in the right mood for trading today, so just watched the screen for a few races. In the end I decided to do a couple of trades anyway so did about 8 races.

Not massive profits, and a few too many losses that kept the total down, but still almost £3 green and some more video to watch.

15 days left in August, so even a mere £3 a day would get me back in profit for the month...

Off out for some beers now

PS Haven't forgotten the comments I still need to reply to... will be on to that asap.

Video

Just back from Correfoc, which involves running through fire, messin' with the devil and then watching a big fireworks display...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correfoc

I have also just made a 'How not to be a good trader' video...

I messed it up a bit at the start by going green, and at one point I didn't think I'd get much past -66p, but from then on it was just pure genius how I maximised the redness so effectively...

I should have scratched at -33p or -66p, I eventually scratched at -£1.59 but instead of just scratching I also put in a £10 back bet to get on the ride down, and it obviously immediately went back up, so I then scratched and put in a lay bet to get on the ride back up and it obviously went down again... lol

So instead of scratching for -£1.59 I actually end up scratching for -£3.28 a few seconds later...

Here's the video, it's only about 1 min 30 secs and is an mp4 file so should play in media player and/or quick time (3.84Mb)

Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeen

Trading banks Betfair £302.22 Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L £4.43 August P&L -£77.78

Slightly late start this afternoon, due to a heavy evening and oversleeping slightly... Am pleased with the trading though.

I've started putting the over round up on the trading screen as apparently this is really really really useful for timing entry points apparently...

How it is useful I have no idea as none of the people who say it's really important ever actually say why or how to use it... lol

Anyway I looked up on google what it is, so I know know everything about it, just nothing yet about how to use it for trading, maybe I'll spot something when I review my videos.

The thing with videos... If you trade for 4 hours, you then need another 4 hours to watch the videos... and I thought this trading lark was going to be easy!

Decided to drop my stakes down a bit so I can not worry too much about the bank and just trade, used £10 stakes today, and still made £4.43 which scales up to >£20 with £50 stakes, so pleased with that.

I had two losses, one of which was really funny, I couldn't have done it any worse if I tried, so I'll try and edit a video of that and put it up later, the best race I had I greened up on all of the top 4 horses.

Another race I had an 87p green on the 2nd favourite, but un greened 50p of it on Markab who was as certain to win as a dead cert can ever be, and even if he'd lost (which he didn't) I'd have still made 36p... so I figured I could have a bit of a gamble with 50p of my profit to make a couple of quid. It was close in the end 3 way photo, but that makes it more exciting...

Gonna ride up a mountain now, hopefully have time to put together a short video when I get back or maybe tomorrow.

Might even increase the stakes to £11 as well

Coincidences

Trading banks Betfair £297.79  Betdaq £245.00
Daily P&L £74.73   August P&L -£82.21

I'm a great believer in intuition and coincidence, so it comes as no great surprise to find the following link on Racing Traders today.

http://eminiplayer.blogspot.com/2009/06/learning-to-become-successful-trader.html

I've gone from making steady improvements and profits in the last week of June through the 3rd week of July, to making losses and/or big steps backwards ever since then.

I've been looking for indicators, I've been trying to simplify my trading... It's great, but it's not making me any money...

Today I was getting quite annoyed that I don't seem to be making anywhere near the progress I was last month and I've seen a couple of posts today that have helped explain that (I think). The main one being the above link.

I still think I need to master the art of swing trades and I still think analysis is important, but I also think I just need to just get the **** back in the markets every day and trade them as well...

So enough procrastinating and ****ing about with analysis, tomorrow I'm going to trade!!!

I'll also start doing some video off my trading so you can look forwards to some 'how NOT to trade' video coming soon

Anyway I made £20 on my Betdaq free bet offer which I finished cashing in today (that's the -£70 in the BF P&L) and then made a completely undeserved £54.73 on my trading, so not an unsuccessful day, but wasn't really in the zone, was mostly on the balcony drinking estrella (spanish beer).

Due to the way that worked out (2 winners, backed on betdaq, layed on Betfair) I now have £245 in my betdaq bank and £297.79 in my betfair bank. I can't be bothered transferring money between them so I'll just leave it as is for now and do some trading in Betdaq as well.

Video Capture

Have given up on Cam Studio and downloaded Camtasia instead

Works much better.
Well the fact that it works at all is an improvement...

Costs $300 but won't worry about that as there's a 30 day free trial which will be long enough to get what I want out of it.

I've come to the conclusion that my swing trades are all wrong at the moment, even if I try and use wom or traded range, or momentum, or flipping my lucky coin, it's just a bit too random. I don't make consistent profits, and have made large losses a couple of times (August) due to not closing out quick enough and/or going in play...

I can make £5-£15 a day on scalping (July), and no doubt I could even make £20+ a day with more practice, but I'd like to be able to open swing trades with more confidence as well. I rekon one or two good swing trades have the potential to make as much as a whole day of scalping... I'm not talking about going for swings on every market, but if I can identify an entry point ot two that get me into even 10 markets a week and even if only 7 of them work, that's still a few hundred quid.

So my current plan is to continue to try and scalp £5-£15 a day as usual but figure out one or two entry points for swings that I can just use if/when they occur.

To this end I'm taking videos of the ladder and market overview charts, which means I didn't actually trade again today as I was doing that instead... and sunbathing... and drinking beer... not a bad afternoon...

Previously I've been taking screen shots of graphs, but this doesn't give enough info about the traded range and price movements over a few seconds/minutes that go with them, so I rekon video might be more useful.

And finally (if you made it this far) here's a picture of a bike from this morning.

Maybe some trading tomorrow...

Betfair v Betdaq

I spent the afternoon watching the betfair and Betdaq prices instead of trading.

After a 4 hour bike ride in 30+ degrees I don't think I was in great shape for trading anyway... Here's the route if anyone is interested:

Anyway, back to the topic of BetFair v Batdaq

Loading up BetAngel for Betdaq was like going back in time (1960's judging by the pink tint on everything) as it didn't have all of the new tools that I've come to take for granted.

My initial observation (only watched top 3 horses) is that the betdaq prices pretty much matched the betfair prices all the time, which leads me to believe there are probably bots taking advantage of price movements/differences between the two exchanges to take ticks, but they'd need to be carefull to match the trades both ways otherwise they'd be paying 5% on a big win on one exchange which would take out more than you made on scalping the ticks, but I guess they have that covered. Just take a tick or two on BF then take a tick or two on BD and you're laughing...

I guess that leads on to two (or three) observations

1) You can load up Bet Angel for Bet fair and use the Market overview charts when trading with the Betdaq ladder

2) There's not much to be gained in terms of trading advantage from trading on Betdaq if the prices move the same

3) There might be gain from trading on Betdaq to save paying premium charge if you can get your stake size matched. I rekon £30-£50 might be ok, but £500 £1000 I'm not so sure.

Obviously that's all theory and based on only 6 races and I haven't actually tried trading betdaq yet so don't read too much into my comments, I may be completely wrong...

I'm not really doing free bet offers anymore, but as I needed to sign up for Betdaq anyway I've put on my £25 qualifying bet for joining, and I'll cash that in for £22/£23 ish profit when they give me my free bet (says within 72 hours).

Maybe I'll do some actual trading tomorrow...

Food For Thought

Just read this post by Leonthefixer on the RacingTraders forum

The vast majority of people trying to trade could quite easily learn on Betdaq. They wouldn't be able to use BetTrader obviously but there are other aps out there. The bigger traders can't make the move due to the chicken and egg situation but what is stoping the small time traders and the new traders? Without the big traders there you might actually find it easier - is it that you only actually ever hear about Betfair and THINK that is the only place you can trade to make money. I can tell you it is possible to make £100+ a day on Betdaq.

Might be worth looking in to as I only want to make £50 to £100 a day

Red Again

Trading bank £343.06   Daily P&L -£28.78   August P&L -£156.94

Not the best days trading I've ever had.

Did some experiments with stop losses (in hind sight I should have used smaller stakes instead of wasting £40) and I didn't ever really get on with the afternoon races at all.

How is it possible to go £18 into the red in under 1 minute, but it never goes green like that...?

Evening races were much better (until I went -£4 on one race) but made about £10 back.

I switched down to £30 stakes for the evening, and I think I'm going to take my bank down to £300 and stick at £30 stakes for a while.

Wasn't really in the zone today, and billy hill radio was sooooo annoying I had to turn it off before I threw the laptop off the balcony. They never tell you when the horses are loading (usually switch to adverts) or when the race is about to start, in fact they never give you any useful information at all and just talk crap.

I tried Radio 1 but that didn't last long either and ended up switching to Planet Rock. My trading got a lot better at that point.

Internet Problems

Losing internet connection is not really what you want to happen when you are trading...

Luckily it didn't cost me too much...

Happy Again

Trading bank £371.84   Daily P&L £6.92   August P&L -£128.16

Not much occuring this afternoon it seems, and when I got to 6pm (5pm uk) and it said 30 mins to next race I decided to stop...

6 races £7 profit

Now if all my trades could be this easy...

Two losing trades this afternoon, one that I scratched immediately for a small £2 loss and the other went very quickly about £11 into the red but then wasn't looking like it wanted to keep moving against me so I stuck it out a bit longer and eventually redded it out for a smaller loss of £5 (which is as good as a £6 profit). It was one of those situations where it was slowly coming back in my favour, no money against me, so no point taking the full loss, but I was hovering the mouse ready to close as soon as I thought there was any definate movement back against me.

Much more confident in my trading today.

Big thank you to everyone who commented on my blog last week after my short but expensive trip into the in-play gambling den.

I will not let trades go in play
I will not let trades go in play
I will not let trades go in play
I will not let trades go in play

Got attacked by a big angry dog on my bike today, luckily it decided it didn't really want to bite me when it grabbed my foot, it was more interested in barking a lot and growling than actually causing me to bleed.

But I thought it was best to go back the way I came and find another route rather than to try and get past it down the track I wanted to use. So ended up doing about 20km more than I'd expected. I then ran out of water and then got a puncture... lol

Muppet

Trading bank £364.92  Daily P&L -£154.21  August P&L -£135.08

I've completely screwed up today

I'm taking the weekend off to chill, maybe even next week as well, I will decide about that on Monday.

How many times have I told myself NEVER GO IN PLAY, I thought I could minimise the loss by closing out most of the trade and then take a small loss or break even in play, but I never had a chance to close out any of it in play, so I lost £160 in one race.

I was caught on the wrong side of free fall steamer that went down 20 ticks while I was looking out the window before I realised what was happening.

No excuse, and in the big picture it's not a massive setback, but it's enough to make me sit myself down and give myself a really severe bollocking and hopefully enough to stop me ever doing it again.

I'm not going to try and make it back today (or even this weekend) as I need to make sure I realise how ****ing stupid it was first.

Did I mention that I'm a ****ing idiot!

My target for August is to make £300 which now means I need to make about £435 in 3 weeks to get that... with lower stakes now that the bank went down...

On the plus side, apparently all successful traders blow their bank (or big chunks of their bank) several times before they get things right, and that's twice I've lost a big chunk in play now. If I want to be successful at this I need to make sure it doesn't happen again...

It's the third time I went in play since I started the blog, once I got away with it, once I lost £118 and now I lost £158.. If this doesn't convince me to sort it out I don't know what will.

Back sometime next week and things will be much more positive!

On top of the screw up it's been raining all day! lol

Green is good

Trading bank £519.13   Daily P&L £17.00   August P&L £19.13

Much more betterer today, and also many thanks to BazBaz and Darren for letting me take part in their experiment (maybe more about that later)

Now.. the thing with stop losses is that they are supposed to stop you making losses... So when it goes 2 ticks south and you scratch that's good right... well not if you then decide, hey this is going back and re enter, scratch 2 ticks lower, then decide hey this is going back and re enter, scratch 2 ticks lower... I think you get the idea... -£8 on one market due to my own stupididy of scratching and then immediately re entering the same trade... doh!

Anyway... On the plus side I pulled it back to a £17 profit for the day

Last few weeks I've been looking for bigger swing trades, and lost my profits. Today I went back to my old style trading and made a profit again...

I still rekon there is money to be made on the swings, but I'm going to stick to what works for a while and try to add the swings on top rather than instead of scalping...

The evening felt like it was easier than the afternoon for me today, but not sure why. Can't argue with £17 green so I'm happy enough.

Beans on Toast

Trading bank £502.13   Daily P&L £0.58   August P&L £2.13

I made about 12p per hour today...

Which is better than losing 12p per hour, but not great...

Note to self:

STOP LOSS STOP LOSS STOP LOSS
STOP LOSS STOP LOSS STOP LOSS
STOP LOSS STOP LOSS STOP LOSS

Can't really afford to eat out on 58p, so beans on toast it is...

Just realised I don't have a toaster, so it will have to be beans on bread.

Wasted Day

Trading bank £501.55   Daily P&L £1.55   August P&L £1.55

Had a pretty useless day for several reasons. I won't bore you with all of them.

Made a massive £1.55 profit! WooHoo!!!

After a power cut in the 2:15 I never really got back into the mood, luckily I had just closed my trade when the power went... Did a couple more when it came back on but then just watched the graphs a bit before packing up for the day.

Tried to find some screen capture software, you'd think it would be pretty easy to find some free software that captures a rectangle of screen and saves it to a jpg file when you hit a key...

You can either get ones that will do all that but only on the main screen, or others where you hit a key but then have to tell it what screen area you want even though it's the same every time, or it won't save without having to show you the bloody screen shot in a dialog box and asking for a filename (I know what I just took a screen shot off ffs) , tried about 10 and they were all useless, I might as well keep cut and pasting into jsp and save the file myself if I have to do more than press one key...

If anyone knows a free one key press capture a rectangle to jpg file program that works on vista and with the 2nd monitor please let me know!

Best get down town to spend my winnings now!

August

Trading bank £500.00   Daily P&L £0.00   August P&L £0.00

New month and I've taken a few quid out of the bank to start it at £500

I was planning to increase my stakes to £60 or £70 but the way things went last week I've decided to stick at £50 for a while.

Bit cooler here this morning, so it might make the trading a bit easier this afternoon, but I'd prefer it to be sunny!
